By accessing or placing an order through the Mariposa Atelier website (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Site.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes. The date of the most recent revision is indicated at the top of this page.

Mariposa Atelier makes every effort to display products accurately on the Site, including colours, textures, and dimensions. However, due to variations in monitor settings and screen calibrations, the appearance of products may differ slightly from what you see on screen.

All product descriptions, fragrance notes, and burn times are provided in good faith and are approximate. We do not warrant that product descriptions or other content on the Site is accurate, complete, or error-free.

We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time without notice.

All prices listed on the Site are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Payment must be made in full at the time of placing an order. We accept major credit/debit cards, UPI, and net banking through our secure payment gateway. Mariposa Atelier does not store any payment card information on its servers.

In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel orders placed at the incorrect price and issue a full refund.

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Mariposa Atelier reserves the right to accept or decline any order at its discretion. An order is confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation email from us.

Orders may be cancelled by the customer within 24 hours of placement by contacting us at info@mariposa-atelier.com. After 24 hours, orders that have already been dispatched cannot be cancelled.

Mariposa Atelier reserves the right to cancel any order due to stock unavailability, payment failure, or suspected fraudulent activity, and will issue a full refund in such cases.

We currently ship within India only. Delivery timelines are estimates and not guarantees — standard delivery takes 5–7 business days and express delivery 2–3 business days depending on your location.

Mariposa Atelier is not liable for delays caused by courier partners, natural events, public holidays, or incorrect shipping information provided by the customer.

Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery to the courier. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence so we may assist you.

Free shipping is offered on orders above ₹1,500. A flat shipping fee of ₹99 applies to orders below this threshold.

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for items that are unused, undamaged, and in original packaging. To initiate a return, email info@mariposa-atelier.com with your order number and reason for return.

Items purchased during a sale, with a promotional code, or as part of a bundle are not eligible for return unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Once a return is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Mariposa Atelier is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during a return. We recommend using a tracked courier service.

All Mariposa Atelier candles come with care instructions. By purchasing our products, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to follow these instructions.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, flammable materials, and drafts. Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

Mariposa Atelier is not liable for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow the provided safety guidelines.

All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, photography, logos, product names, fragrance compositions, and design — is the exclusive property of Mariposa Atelier and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content from the Site for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Mariposa Atelier.

User-generated content (such as reviews or photos shared with us) may be used by Mariposa Atelier for marketing purposes. By submitting such content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it.

When you create an account on the Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering and to update this information as necessary.

Mariposa Atelier reserves the right to terminate accounts that are found to be engaging in fraudulent activity, abusive behaviour, or violation of these Terms.

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Site, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not function correctly as a result.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mariposa Atelier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or purchase of our products.

Our total liability in any matter arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the matter may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
